DMC Six Strand Embroidery Floss is a divisible, 100% cotton thread made from the finest long staple fibres. It is double mercerized for a subtle sheen, plus it is colourfast and fade resistant.

Each 8.7 yard skein has a convenient pull-skein feature for ease of use.

It is ideal for cross stitch, embroidery, needlepoint, punch needle, bead work, tying quilts, friendship bracelets, and many craft projects.

Care and Washing

Machine washable. Can be tumble dried on a medium setting. Can be ironed on a medium setting. Can be dry cleaned.

How to Use:
  • DMC Stranded Cotton Thread is composed of six strands that are twisted together and easy to separate.
  • Many embroidery designs call for different strands of thread, so you will need to separate your thread. Refer to your design chart to see how many strands (or plies) of thread the design specifies.
  • It is recommended that you work with thread lengths no longer than 18-20" to prevent fraying and wearing while stitching.
  • For areas where the design is the same color, we recommend using skeins from the same dye lot.
